Budva: Asylum for taking care of abandoned animals in a new aesthetic and functional concept

The shelter, which primarily takes care of abandoned dogs, has a completely new aesthetic and functional concept today.

The director of "Komunalno" Budva, Predrag Ivanović, said that some buildings were renovated, roofs were repaired in places where it was necessary, new grass was sown, corroded fences were repainted, rubble was removed, and the interior was tidied up.

According to him, the shelter has 43 boxes, seven sectors plus a quarantine area and a winter house (for smaller dogs, during the winter), and each newly brought dog is initially placed in a quarantine area, where it must spend 14 days, in order to determine whether is the owner's dog and does it have any diseases.

"Only after that period, the dog is taken for adaptation by sector, in order to choose the appropriate sector for him and thereby make his stay in the asylum more pleasant. Eight people are employed at the RJ Asylum who take care of the animals and of this facility in general. We invite fellow citizens to visit our pets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:14 to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.," concludes Ivanovic's press release.
