Zlatan Stipisic Džiboni i Dino Merlin will be the stars of this year's public New Year's celebration under the old city ramparts in Budva.
This was confirmed by the "News" in the Tourist Organization of Budva, which, together with the Municipality, has traditionally organized the most glamorous New Year's program in this part of the Adriatic for more than two decades.
It is unofficially mentioned that the New Year's program will cost close to half a million euros. That much will reportedly be set aside for music star fees, a glamorous stage, complete technical support and media promotion and a campaign that has been planned since the end of November.
This year's program could be one of the most spectacular in the past decade, as the most popular performers are engaged.
According to the knowledge of "Vijesti", the list of all participants has not yet been finalized, and it is certain that on New Year's Eve the atmosphere will be raised first by this year's biggest Eurovision surprise, the Belgrade artist Ana Đurić Construction, which will hold a one and a half hour concert.
After her, the popular Bosnian band "Dubioza kolektiv" will perform, and Điboni will take the stage half an hour before midnight, who will introduce the visitors to the year 2023.
On January 1, "Vijesti" confirmed, the audience under the walls of the Old Town will be able to enjoy the performances of a young Serbian pop star. Sara Jo, and then Senidah, one of the most popular trap singers in the Balkans.
After her performance, Dino Merlin's concert will follow.
It is planned that the New Year's program will begin on January 30, when popular DJs will perform on the Painters' Square.
"Vijesti" was told that the Tourist Organization of Budva managed to conclude contracts with all contractors, and that the final New Year's program will be presented to the public on Friday.
Džiboni's guest appearance was arranged last year, when the public reception was canceled due to the corona virus, but the Croatian singer concluded a contract to perform when the opportunity arises.
The longest negotiations, according to "Vijesti" information, were conducted with Dino Merlin, because allegedly several cities in the region and Montenegro were interested in his performance.
New Year's Eve parties ranked Budva as the most attractive destination for partying, and the Montenegrin metropolis of tourism, employing the most famous ex-YU stars and well-known European music names, has been the epicenter of entertainment for years.
Many cities in Montenegro followed in the "footsteps" of Budva, so every year coastal cities compete to organize the most attractive New Year's program.
Budva has been organizing public New Year's parties since 2000 and has hosted the biggest musical names - from Beautiful Brene, Gypsy Kings, Dirty Theater, Svetlana Cece Ražnatović, Fish soup, White Button, Hari Mata Hari, Blue Orchestra, Severine, Sergej Ćetković, Zdravko Colic, from Marija Šerifović, Halid Bešlić...
