Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against ten students of the "Stojan Cerović" Gymnasium in Nikšić who participated in the incident that took place on October 3. That day, in the morning shift, around 11,30:XNUMX, the students threw and threw benches, chairs and other objects at each other.
"We did everything we could. It is surprising that these students came forward on their own initiative. On Monday, they waited for me in front of the office and confessed everything. They said that it was supposedly a game. We called their parents and, in the presence of the parents, we took statements from the students," said the director of the Gymnasium, Dušan Kilibarda, to "Vijesta".
According to him, a departmental council is scheduled for tomorrow, which will propose punishments, while the Teachers' Council is scheduled for Monday.
"Today we had an inspection from the Ministry of Education and they proposed some new measures and procedures that are very useful and can help us to prevent such incidents from happening again. They told us to double the number of students on duty, i.e. not to have one but two students on duty, as well as to hold educational classes in order to draw students' attention to both peer violence and behavior that is not appropriate for students," said Kilibarda.
As he pointed out, the Nikšić High School is an institution that is known for its exceptional students and educators, so he suspects that such incidents were deliberately caused in order to damage the reputation of that educational institution.
"It was all staged to damage the reputation of the Gymnasium, because such incidents do not happen in other schools in Nikšić. It says enough that none of the inventory was broken, but only one bench was overturned. And the whole case was recorded by three schoolgirls and it was all posted on social networks. I believe that someone is manipulating the children, that there is some center that orders them what to do," said the director of the Nikšić Gymnasium.
The civic initiative "May 21" on the occasion of the mentioned incident addressed the Minister of Education, Miomir Vojinović, who they asked to "immediately order an analysis of student discipline as well as to initiate appropriate educational measures that will include additional attention to students who are prone to vandalism and violence ".
