SO Herceg Novi: We will block the border crossings if the hospital in Meljini is closed

If the issue of PZU "General Hospital Meljine" - in bankruptcy is not resolved by October 31 and it is closed, councilors of the Herceg Novi Municipal Assembly and representatives of the executive power, together with citizens, will organize protests with the aim of blocking border crossings on the territory of the municipality of Herceg Novi .

As stated in the press release of the Information Service of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the members of the Herceg Novi Parliament adopted this decision unanimously at the 10th regular session, and the protests and blocking will continue until the demands are met.

They add that the councilors, in accordance with the Information on the status of the hospital in Meljina, also adopted the conclusion.

"The Assembly of the municipality of Herceg Novi calls on the Government of Montenegro and relevant ministries to find a solution by October 31.10.2022, XNUMX, at the latest, which would enable the further functioning of PZU 'General Hospital Meljine' - in bankruptcy, and to urgently introduce the hospital into the public health system. previous conclusion, Herzegovinian local parliament proposed that PZU 'General Hospital Meljine' - in bankruptcy be leased by the public health system in order to provide the necessary hospital capacities and improve the quality of health services," the announcement reads.

As they say, the third conclusion adopted by the councilors refers to the appeal to the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the High Court in Podgorica.

"The Assembly of the Municipality of Herceg Novi appeals to the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the High Court in Podgorica to urgently consider the question of whether there are still reasons for the existence of the temporary security measure Kri-S. no. 4/09 of September 09.09.2019, XNUMX, because the existence of that temporary measures in the legal order make it impossible for the PZU 'General Hospital Meljine' to function - in bankruptcy, and therefore to provide health care to the citizens," according to the Municipality of Herceg Novi.

In addition to the aforementioned views, as they stated, it was concluded that the Herceg Novi Municipal Assembly will consider taking other measures in order to preserve the Meljina Hospital at an extraordinary session.
