The candy factory "Candy Factory", co-owned by the company Nelt LDA, a member of the Nelt Group from Serbia, which also owns the Montenegrin companies Neregelia and Montenomax, was officially opened in Luanda, in the Special Economic Zone.

The official event was attended by a large number of dignitaries from Angola and Europe, including the Minister of Industry and Trade, Victor Fernandes, who symbolically cut the ribbon of the new factory together with the co-owners.

"Investments in the new factory are over 20 million euros. We currently employ 90, and I expect that in two years, over 150 workers will find work in the factory. With a production capacity of 6.700 tons per year, daily production will quickly exceed 15 tons of candies, lollipops and chewing gum," announced Boris Macak, Nelt Group's executive vice president for African markets.

The Nelt Group strives to implement innovations and modern technologies in all African markets where it operates, in order to achieve top quality services and operations.

"Candy Factory has the ambition to be nationally and regionally recognized as a company that produces Angolan brands. I believe that we will strongly influence the growth of the candies, lollipops and chewing gum category, and that we will soon take the leading role in this category with a 20% market share," announced Milena Kiselički, director of operations and development of the Candy Factory.

Nelt, in cooperation with the local partner company Oxbow and with the wholehearted help of the Government and development agencies of Angola, realized this greenfield project within three years.
