A student of the Faculty of Political Sciences in the Political Science - International Relations study program, Marko Vulević, is the only awarded student from Montenegro at the EUSAIR Academy youth competition, for an essay based on the idea of better information through means of mass communication.

"It is my honor and pleasure to emphasize that the competition was announced for all students of the University of Montenegro, as well as other universities in the Adriatic-Ionian region. It is a privilege to be the best among the best at such a competition," said Vulević, as reported by University of Montenegro (UCG).

According to him, it was mandatory to submit a paper to the competition on the topic of better contribution of young people to the activities of the European Union and information about its values, goals and activities.

Vulević says that the award he won consists of a monetary amount, a visit to political institutions in Brussels, a conference in the European Youth Capital, where the awarded students will present their projects in December, and a conference in Sarajevo, where they will talk about the final results of the implemented projects.

Speaking about the topic of his work, he said that the 21st century represents a very dynamic period when one technological pattern is replaced by another, and then a problem arises in communication between those who inform and those who need to be informed.

"I believe that the institutions of the European Union should market what they do to their target groups in the right way. Likewise, the generational and technological gap between those who work in these institutions and those on whom the world remains is huge. Precisely because of the wrong way of informing young people in the area ex-Ju state can lead to media manipulation and the spread of various misinformation, misinformation and fake news," explains the awarded student.

When it comes to such competitions, he tells young people to find courage and tell themselves that they can do it.

"Competition as such awakens in man the desire for improvement and progress. Sometimes, the only thing that separates us from success is the fear of failure. I would like to encourage all students of the University of Montenegro to apply for various competitions, because among us students there are so many talented and promising young people," he concludes.
