In Kraljski Bari, they are asking that a loop for the future section of the highway be designed in that village

Locals of Kraljski Bar demand that a junction (connector, disconnector) be designed in that village from the future section of the Mateševo-Andrijevica highway. Also, special attention should be paid to the impact of the highway on riverbeds, sources of drinking water, waste water disposal, preservation of the existing rural infrastructure...

From the recent assembly in Kraljske Bari, a request was sent to the Government and competent institutions to provide the residents with active participation in public hearings regarding the conceptual design of the highway section. Locals demand that the Ministry of Capital Investments (MKI), which is the proponent of the conceptual solution, as well as the investor, promptly inform the authorities of the Local Community (MZ) of Kraljska Bara about all public hearings. In this way, it was stated at the meeting, "locals could prepare in a timely and adequate manner for the public discussion".

"We demand that the Municipal Council of Kraljske Bare be provided with a conceptual plan for the highway, so that we will be able to familiarize ourselves with most of the important details of the project. We demand that, during public hearings, special emphasis be placed on the impact of highway construction, on the protection of riverbeds, drinking sources, disposal of waste water and other harmful substances, as well as the preservation of the existing rural road infrastructure. Also, to provide the local population with unhindered traffic communication so that life in the village can take place without consequences", are some of the conclusions from the assembly of the locals.

In that village, they also request that "in public debates, special emphasis be placed on the organization and technology of highway construction, the environmental protection study and the work safety study at the construction site." The locals also explained that once they know the details of the conceptual solution, they will possibly expand their demands and conclusions with new ones.

The Ministry of Interior has extended the completion of the highway feasibility study and conceptual design for the second section from Mateševo ​​to Andrijevica until the end of the year, although it was initially announced that these documents would be completed by the end of June this year. Those two documents are crucial to know how much this next section of 23,5 kilometers will cost. This will be followed by the development of the main project, and according to the forecasts of the Ministry of Interior, the call for tenders for the selection of contractors could be reached in 2024.
