The National Tourism Organization (NTO), in cooperation with the tourism industry and strategic partners, will present Montenegro's offer at the International Tourism Fair IFTM Top Res in Paris.

NTO announced that IFTM Top Resa, which started on Tuesday, is the largest B2B fair in France and represents an excellent platform for establishing new and maintaining business contacts with tour operators and contracting business for the following year.

"This year, the fair brought together over 1,6 thousand brands and 31 thousand professionals from the field of tourism, as well as over a thousand representatives of the media", according to the announcement of the NTO.

The NTO said that the French market is important for Montenegro and that it is in first place in terms of visits when it comes to European Union (EU) countries.

"There is a positive trend of interest. Last year, over 49 tourists from France stayed in Montenegro, who made over 248 overnight stays, which continued the constant growth of arrivals and overnight stays from that market," the announcement states.

According to them, the growth trend is noticeable this year as well.

In seven months, the number of tourists from France increased by 23 percent, while the number of overnight stays increased by 18 percent.

"In the course of this year, the stay of several groups of French media and agents in Montenegro was organized, which contributed to better promotion of the destination in that market," said the NTO.

The representatives of the economy also had discussions with existing and interested new partners regarding the leasing of capacities and group visits during the summer and winter seasons.

"The announcements for the next season are good, so the national airline Montenegro Airlines, in addition to the regular traffic to Paris, announces an increase in the number of rotations to Lyon," the statement added.

The Budva Riviera Hotel Group (HG) will continue its long-standing cooperation with French partners Prodintur and MTO Travel, which bring French tourists to the Palas and Castellastva hotels, and for the next year, cooperation with TUI France has been contracted.

"The French low-cost company Transavia will continue with its flights in the next year, from April to October," added the NTO.

The interest of the French in Montenegro's offer is, as they said, evident beyond the summer tourist season, so they continue to bring organized groups during the winter through the Luminalis travel agency.
