"The development of the Capital in the coming period should be based on a stronger valorization of the incredible tourist potential of the rich cultural heritage and better infrastructural connections with the south and central part of Montenegro," announced Prime Minister Dritan Abazović.
He congratulated Cetinje Capital Day, November 13, to Mayor Nikola Đurašković, President of the Assembly Milena Vujačić, councilors, citizens.
"The respect that the rest of Montenegro feels for Cetinje, the city of world-renowned artists, writers and athletes who represent Montenegro in the best way, is immense," the announcement states.
Abazović emphasizes that "the current and every subsequent state administration has the priority task of translating the aforementioned respect, through fruitful cooperation, mutual trust and respect, with the local self-government into the complete and consistent realization of planned, sustainable capital infrastructure investments".
He adds that they are "very necessary for Cetinje, which, considering its economic, cultural, educational and touristic capacities, it can certainly transform into new value".

"With the more responsible attitude of the local and state authorities towards Cetinje, which is obvious, I am convinced that Cetinje will, after the realization of infrastructure projects, such as the Kotor - Lovćen cable car, which will be in operation from next year, and the main line Cetinje - Čevo - Nikšić, whose the first phase in the final stage, to get a flywheel for more intensive development, especially in the rural areas of Prijestonica," said Abazović.
He is convinced that with an honest and sincere attitude towards the capital city and a clear vision, which is recognized, the future of Cetinje will be beautiful and successful.
"With the most sincere wish that we all remain consistent with this together, I once again congratulate this historic date for our Capital", concluded Abazović.
