Co-president of the Women's Club of the Parliament of Montenegro, Branka Bošnjak, announced that culture is a tool that unites people, spreads peace and creates harmony among civilizations.
She pointed out that culture as such should be the voice of reason in order to strengthen and develop a society.
"The Ministry of Culture and Media and the Women's Club of the Parliament of Montenegro have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which envisages the establishment of scientific, artistic and professional cooperation in the fields of cultural and artistic creativity, cultural heritage, media and gender equality", according to the press release of the Ministry of Culture and Media .
As reported, the memorandum was signed by the Minister of Culture and Media Maša Vlaović and Bošnjak.
According to them, Vlaović said on that occasion that they are convinced that in order to promote the common interest in achieving gender equality, culture is one of the most significant potentials for achieving that goal.
They add that Bosniak pointed out that culture is a tool that unites people, spreads peace and creates harmony among civilizations, and that as such it should be the voice of reason in order to strengthen and develop a society.
"Cooperation between the MKM and the Women's Club will include joint activities in the field of education and further education of staff in the field of gender equality through the organization of seminars, workshops and trainings," the announcement states.
As they said, the MKM and the Women's Club will, with their joint forces and capacities, apply for projects of exceptional importance for the development and strengthening of the position of women both at the national and international level.
