An inspection by the supervisory authority on the construction of the Inžerop-Geodata highway and representatives of Monteput found that due to torrential waters in the bed of Tara, the river damaged - carried away part of the embankment under the Tara 2 bridge in the part of the vertical beams of pillars RS7 and RS8, Monteput announced.
Head beams are used during construction to carry the bridge formwork. They are not part of the supporting structure of the bridge.
According to Monteputo, they announced themselves after a photo appeared on social networks with a description that the structure of the highway bridge was damaged.
"The supporting columns are deeply grounded, more precisely, they rest on piles with a depth of approx. 25 meters, so the structure of the Tara 2 bridge itself is not threatened. This will be resolved when the embankment and embankment are re-planned and arranged after the water level has been reduced. So, we emphasize that it is not the facility's stability or functionality are at risk. Due to the announced new heavy rainfall, monitoring of the location will be additionally intensified," the announcement concludes.
