Milica Bojović from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Montenegro (UCG) was chosen as the best student of the Faculty of Political Sciences.
She had an average grade of 9,83, and was presented with the award for the highest achievement during her studies for the academic year 2022/23. year, it was announced from UCG.
"The affirmation of your dedication, love and commitment to your field of interest is a special tailwind that encourages you to pave the way for those who come after you. Therefore, this award represents for me the crown of undergraduate studies, proof that a sincere desire to enrich academic life will not go unnoticed - recognition that investing in your passion is not in vain," said Milica.
She states that making certain sacrifices in order to achieve goals is no stranger to anyone.
"It is up to us to evaluate which battles are worth fighting on our life's journey. Involvement in extracurricular activities, such as active membership in the Montenegrin Association of Political Science Students, is something that not only enriched my studies, but also helped my personal development." she said.
She added that drawing a parallel between her as a newly minted freshman at the time and the person she is in today's light, it is evident the difference that every training, workshop, read book has made.
In the coming period, as she explained, she will actively look for numerous opportunities that would play a significant role in her future career development.
"In addition to university duties and acquiring theoretical knowledge, the current focus is on applying what I have acquired in practice. I plan to continue my education exactly where it all began - at the Faculty of Political Sciences, where I will enroll in a master's degree in International Relations," added Milica.
He tells future political scientists "not to be afraid to be proactive and ready to accept the beauty and versatility of this profession."
"You have chosen the right path, the path that will lead you to great success, to understanding and participation in global trends, important institutions, and numerous other heights. Investing in your education means defying the erosion of society, being an academic citizen means standing behind your views, without without fear, without hindrance, boldly and decisively walking the paths with countless obstacles, but being ready to face them is already half the work done. Paraphrasing Dositej Obradović, the opponents of education and enlightenment would put out the sun if they could, and I am sure that you are the one who are coming are the ones who will make it shine even brighter on us," concluded Bojović.
