The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (MRSS) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the German non-governmental humanitarian organization HELP with the aim of providing support for strengthening social inclusion and reducing poverty in the countries of the Western Balkans.
As announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the memorandum was signed by line minister Admir Adrović and regional HELP coordinator Klaus Moka.
"The main goal of the memorandum is to provide support for the further strengthening of social inclusion and poverty reduction in the countries of the Western Balkans, through the implementation of the second phase of the Reeconomia project," said the Ministry.
The project is said to be funded by the Swedish Agency for International Development and Cooperation.
Reeconomia, as it is added, is a regional inclusive and green economic development program of the Swedish Agency for International Development Cooperation, which is led by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in partnership with Help and other partners in the countries of the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkans.
As stated, the Swedish Government, through the Regional Program for Inclusive Economic Development in Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans, supported the development of the Montenegrin ICT cluster Cortex with the help of the German HELP and the Swiss partner organization Helvetas.
"One of the key goals is to strengthen the IT industry in Montenegro through the connection with education in order to obtain the highest quality IT personnel in technological companies and in other sectors of the economy and tourism that are increasingly dependent on technological innovations and strive for green sustainable development," it says. in the announcement.
It is stated that an example of one of the specific synergistic initiatives, which are aimed at the benefit of sustainable development and support for the entire economic system, is support for the development of the idea of charging stations for electric vehicles with the use of mobile applications in the entire territory with a focus on the north of Montenegro.
As it is added, the emphasis of the project is on the development of rural tourism, and thus the increase in the number of employees in that sector.
