Iković: To determine the causes and consequences of the sale of lots on Golootočki žrtava Square

In this way, we are using all permitted means to preserve the Square, which should remain a public good, and to use this example to show how to get rid of bad practices, said the councilor of the Danilovgrad Municipality Assembly.

The Reversal Movement has sent a letter to all councilors of the Danilovgrad Municipality Assembly in order to form a Commission for establishing the facts and essential elements in connection with the sale and urbanization of plots on Golootočki žrtava Square, said Vuk Iković, a councilor in the Danilovgrad Municipality Assembly.

Ikovic said that after that they spoke with the city management and arranged a meeting with the inspection for next week.

He also emphasizes that a session of the Assembly will be held by the end of December, at which the Decision on the formation of the said commission will be considered.

"In this way, we are using all permitted means to preserve the Square, which should remain a public good, and to use this example to show how to get rid of bad practices," the announcement states.

Iković points out that the Commission will be obliged to cooperate with the competent state and local self-government bodies in the Municipality of Danilovgrad, which will provide it with all the necessary assistance and make available all the necessary documentation.

He adds that the Commission should establish direct communication with persons it believes can provide essential information related to the sale and urbanization of that part of the Square.

"The aforementioned commission should determine the facts related to the then sale of today's cadastral plots 510/2 and 510/4 KO Danilovgrad, which were then part of the Square, i.e. the property of the Republic of Montenegro on which the Municipality of Danilovgrad was the disposer, i.e., the holder of ownership rights, and also to establish the facts regarding their subsequent urbanization," said Iković.

Each committee club will designate one representative as a member of the Commission, in order to propose a decision on its formation and the election of its members as soon as possible, concluded Iković.
