Milena Vlahović is the best student of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro (UCG) for the academic year 2022/23.
As stated in the UCG announcement, she had an average of 9,11, and the award was presented to her by the rector of the University, Vladimir Božović.
"For me, this award represents an incentive for further advancement, improvement and work in this field, as well as in other fields that follow on from this profession," said Milena.
She says that she saw from personal experience that renunciation is not necessary, but commitment and effort is.
"It is only necessary to choose the profession in which I want to succeed, so motivation and success were inevitable. It is necessary to set priorities, to be realistic in achieving them and, most importantly, not to neglect other spheres of life, such as family, friends, hobbies and work," added Milena.
What contributed the most to the acquisition of her knowledge and skills, as she states, is practical work at the faculty in certain subjects, as well as cooperation with professors in the form of organizing classes.
"It really helped me see what it would look like if I started working in this profession. It is very important to upgrade theoretical knowledge with practical work, because it is the only true picture of everything we will become tomorrow," explained the best student.
When it comes to the tasks and goals that she has set for herself in the field of professional development for the coming period, she emphasizes graduating from basic studies.
"When it comes to goals, the only thing I can say for sure is that I have no intention of staying on my bachelor's degree, but I want to focus on further training and learning. At the moment, I don't have clearly defined long-term plans, because they depend a lot on the opportunities available in a certain I can appear right now," she said.
He says that the place where he will continue his studies depends on the field in which he will specialize.
Muilena said to the students who will opt for the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education.
"Based on my previous answers, you can conclude that the most important thing is to choose the field that interests you, so if it's the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, you won't make a mistake. The faculty has well-organized classes, the staff are experts in their work, so they offer us the opportunity to knowledge and interaction with us, we learn everything we need for further work. Also, teaching at the university requires us to include practical work in addition to the theoretical part, in order to make the best use of our knowledge and skills," concluded Milena.
