He points out that the Home has been awaited for a long time and adds that he is glad that, despite the problems during the construction and technical acceptance of the building, they were able to solve them and open the doors of the home for new users.

After cutting the ribbon, the mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, as well as the director of the Home, Jelena Šofranac, addressed those present.

He points out that the capital participated in the implementation with 4 million euros and that they "secured the plot, released the investor from the obligation to pay the utility fee and assumed part of the obligations in terms of utility equipment".

The director of the Home, Jelena Šofranac, emphasized that after a long wait and numerous challenges, the Home has all the necessary facilities and that they are ready to receive the first tenants.

"Documentation is being received, and in the next two days we are organizing open days, when those interested can visit the facility and get answers to all questions in a conversation with an employee," pointed out Šofranac.

He adds that the first plan is to open the geriatrics department and fill the capacity of 79 beds.

"A dementia ward with a capacity of 20 beds will be gradually opened, followed by a palliative care ward where 77 users are expected to be accommodated," she pointed out.

"By the end of next year, the psychogeriatrics department is expected to open, where 78 users can be accommodated," concluded Šofranac.
