The library of the Special Hospital for Lung Diseases "Dr. Jovan Bulajić" in Brezovik, near Nikšić, is richer with a hundred new titles, a gift from the "Nova knjiga" publishing house, and among them are the books of the actor, musician and writer Rad Šerbedžija, "After the Rain" and "Until the last breath".
"In a healthy body, there will also be a healthy spirit, and the book is soul food that will protect and sweeten our body as well", he wrote in the dedication of Šerbedži and handed the book to the director of the hospital in Brezovik, Predrag Pejović.
As Šerbedžija, who visited the hospital in Brezovik, said, the book is one of the most important things that speaks about us, from prehistory to the present day.

"A book is something we need - like theater, film, and any art. Of course, health is something that is the most important thing, and health and hospitals are a mirror of society, so I am glad to be able to congratulate the successful management of the hospital and the good results. I heard you were heroes in this time of pandemic. It's really a big thing and I congratulate you on all your successes", said the famous actor.

The director of the hospital also thanked for everything that the famous Šerbedžija did "before and after the rain".
The director of "New Book" Predrag Uljarević said that the library in Brezovik is the right place for the books that were donated, as well as the titles of local, regional and world-famous authors, including Nobel laureates.
The President of the Municipality, Marko Kovačević, pointed out that the effects of books are great and that one should know how to read books.
"We all learned how Rade Šerbedžija spoke poetry or some other things. Through that, we learned about life and knew what it is that should be emphasized in books, so that we would then know what is important to emphasize in our lives, society, community, and thus enrich and ennoble it," said Kovačević.

Jelena Krsmanović, in front of "New Book", pointed out that books are always and everywhere important, therefore also in hospitals where patients stay longer.
"It is very nice that they offer good books that they can use while they are being treated, and when they are cured, a large number of them continued to write and create. Throughout the history of Brezovik, many writers, academics, intellectuals of various professions have been here who recovered and continued their artistic, scientific and spiritual work from here," said Krsmanović.

One of the most famous patients of the hospital in Brezovik is the famous poet Vitomir Vito Nikolić, who also wrote the song "Te topole brezovacke".
"I would invite other institutions to think in that way, because it is very important to know how to read," said Krsmanović.
Šerbedžija received a thank-you note from the director of the Hospital in Brezovik, and a suitable gift from Kovačević.
