Official of the State Archives, historian, Vukota Vukotić is the winner of the Annual Award of the Military History Commission, a Bulgarian organization that deals with the study and popularization of military history.
According to the announcement of the State Archives of Montenegro, the award was given to Vukotić for his contribution to the research of the history of the Balkans and bringing the countries and peoples of the region closer together.
They state that Vukotić was nominated for this award as one of the organizers of the Collection of Documents "Reports of Mitro Bakić, Montenegrin Deputy in Constantinople 1885-1887", Book I, published by the State Archives, and the award was presented to him at a ceremony held on December 19 at the Officers' Club in Sofia.
They add that, in addition to Vukotić, the commission nominated Brigadier General Stanimir Hristov, Snežana Radoeva and Milena Milotinova for awards this year.
"Two days later, on December 21, in the exhibition hall of the State Agency "Archives" of the Republic of Bulgaria, the promotion of the collection of documents "Reports of Mitra Bakić, Montenegrin envoy in Constantinople 1885-1887", book I, the first edition of the State Archives of Montenegro this year, was held," the announcement states.
Marijana Stamova from the Bulgarian Institute for the History of the Balkans and Ancient Thrace and Ivan Sapundžijev in front of the Military History Commission spoke at the promotion, in addition to one of the organizers, Vukotić.
The editors of this collection of documents are, as they state, officers of the State Archives, deceased. Predrag Vukić, Vukota Vukotić and Srđan Pejović.
