We don't need spectacular concerts and megastars to sing, drink and feel satisfied and proud of our city. This is quite enough to make us happy. This is a message to all my fellow citizens as well as guests - let go of politics and at least for these holidays come to Mala Plaža and look forward to life in this magical place, says the resident of Ulcinj Blerim Holaj, while the well-known beats of the local bands "Milf hunters" and "Ajna&Andi" resound from the stage at Pristan.
In addition to them, local DJs also performed on Thursday evening at Pristan Fl3nd, Macaroni, Sela and Kadrok...
In Ulcinj, from December 15, the local Tourist Organization (TO) and the Municipality are organizing the event "Sweet December", the first of its kind in the city, which will last until January 10. All visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the sounds of traditional, pop, rock and jazz music and to try hot drinks, sweets, various drinks and authentic dishes at nine stands, as well as to buy souvenirs from a city that is more than two and a half millennia old.
DJ Freddy Kaplani (Fl3nd) said that the atmosphere of all previous nights was excellent.
"We see the mood of the visitors, that's our job and we play them the music they want, for dancing or dancing, it doesn't matter to us, it's important that they like it and that they enjoy it. It's important that there's no rain, maybe it's a little cold, naturally because it's winter is, but the atmosphere and positive energy warm us all", said Kaplani to "Vijesta".
The stand of the NGO "Women creators of Ulcinj" offers handmade souvenirs, art paintings, natural olive oil soaps, but also old-fashioned vanilla cakes, homemade doughnuts, juices, cheeses, teas, sweets, fresh and dried fruits and vegetables...
"We also have handmade jewelry, but also many souvenirs made of different natural materials. We are here first of all to present ourselves once again, but we hope that there will be sales as well. Otherwise, this is a very nice event," she told "Vijesta" Eleonora Redžepagić.
At one of the stands, guests can try hot chocolate, mulled wine, various teas, beer, juices, spirits, homemade brandy...
"We are at an enviable level, that's what everyone tells us. The organization is excellent, we had a lot of visitors and we hope that there will be more and more of them in the coming days," says Ulcinja Djihad Redzovic.
Some owners of temporary stands, even those who serve food, were not in the mood for a story...
The TO director also hopes that there will be more and more visitors in the coming period Ćazim Hodžić. He said that he expects that by the next weekend, the space at Pristan of about a thousand square meters, under the ancient walls, will be filled to the last place.
"We have performances for Friday evening (last night). Mark Lewis with the band and our DJ Kadrok. Saturday night is reserved for 'Acoustic band', Exon Salaj and a famous Albanian singer Alban Skenderaj", Hodzic said.
One of the most famous Montenegrin singers, Sergej Cetkovic, will be visiting Pristan on Wednesday, December 28. On the same night, he will perform Hristina Dragović and "Duo Espressivo". They will be visiting the night before Ledri Stamp.
Hodžić said that the facilities at Pristan were given to the locals free of charge.
"They only have the obligation to organize the New Year's Eve from December 30th to January 12rd themselves, since we focused on the period before and after the New Year's Eve. This is because we are not able to compete with other coastal cities for the New Year's Eve celebration." said Hodzic.
However, as he stated, Ulcinj can boast of an event "that will revive Ulcinj in this period, and with which we can attract guests from the entire region".
The TO previously announced that the New Year's bazaar with wooden houses will be the central holiday corner on Mala beach, where all citizens and visitors will be able to "feel the spirit of the Christmas and New Year holidays and enjoy the promenade with an open heart with friends and families".
According to TO, 850 guests are officially staying in Ulcinj, of which 835 are foreign.
"Of course, there are also guests who come on weekends, and we expect that the majority will visit the event, including those who have apartments and houses here and occasionally visit them," said Hodžić.
