New car for geronto housewives in Tivat

The municipality of Tivat bought a new car worth 10.735 euros for the needs of the "Help at home" service, which will expand the scope of the service intended for old and sick fellow citizens who cannot count on the assistance of family members to the rest of the territory of Tivat, beyond the area of Donje Lastva to Gradiošnica, where this program has been implemented until now.

Currently, this program uses about twenty elderly, sick and infirm fellow citizens from the area from Donja Lastva to Gradiošnica, which the geronto homemakers could reach on foot.

Geronto housewives help the beneficiaries of the program at home, take care of their health, visits to the doctor, go shopping for their residents or pay bills on their behalf, and the most important component of their work is that they often keep lonely old people company.

The decision on co-financing the service "Help at home", which the local parliament in Tivat adopted at the last session with the votes of the ruling coalition and opposition councilors from HGI, defined that the users of this service can only be persons for whom such a decision is made by the Center for Social Work, in in accordance with the Law on Social and Child Protection.
