The Municipal Board of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Tivat assessed that the payment of the 13th salary to employees in the Municipality of Tivat is another indicator of the arrogance and hypocrisy of the new majority in that city.
From that party, they state that in the past few months, the same government has called the Board of Water and Sewerage irresponsible and unprofessional because they awarded workers a 13th salary for successful operations, "so that today the public of Tivat would learn from the media that all citizens of Tivat will pay the municipal administration 13 . salary".
"If we take into account that all employees in the Municipality of Tivat have already been paid winter wages in the amount of 180 euros, the decision to pay the 13th salary as well, which according to the statements we were able to read this morning, amounts to about 80 euros of the money of the citizens of Tivat, calls into question the motives behind this behavior of the local government. Whether it is arrogance and recklessness or rewarding the eligible, time will best tell," the announcement states.

SDP Tivat believes that these funds should have been directed to social benefits for the most vulnerable citizens of Tivat - "which the local administration is certainly not, aid to schools and kindergartens, playgrounds, or finding a way to finance an extended stay for students of the lower grades of primary school".
"We will continue to fight against this practice because disenfranchised, vulnerable workers who live from their work and at the same time regularly pay their obligations must be our priority," said the party.
