We are aware of the fact that in certain health care institutions the medical service is not at the highest level, primarily due to the lack of staff and equipment, as well as the poor conditions in which medical workers work, but this does not give anyone the right to attack health care workers in any way. institutions, they said from Prava Montenegro.
This party issued a statement after Todor Ražnatović (23) and Luka Lopičić (21) were arrested on suspicion of attacking a doctor in the unit of the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance (ZHMP) in Podgorica on Sunday evening.
"True Montenegro strongly condemns the recent attack on the doctor of the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance in Podgorica, as well as all previous attacks on medical staff in our country. Every citizen, if he is not satisfied with the quality of service in health institutions, has the opportunity to complain about the work of doctors and medical staff to the Protector patients' rights. He can also file a lawsuit before the competent court. In addition to these possibilities, it is also unacceptable for citizens to verbally and physically attack healthcare workers," adds Prava Montenegro.
They say that it is true that the health system in our country is not at an enviable level.
"First of all, due to the fact that decades ago it collapsed. This is primarily the responsibility of bad politics and negligent work of doctors in certain cases, for which they should certainly bear the consequences in accordance with the law," they state.
However, as they say, health workers, who save human lives in a large number of cases, must do their job without any kind of pressure or fear for their own safety.
"Only in such an atmosphere can we expect them to give their best and to properly help those who need help the most," they conclude in the statement.
