The January salary of police officers will be calculated with the new increased coefficients of 20 percent, which will also include a ten percent increase, announced the Union of the Police Administration.
The union stated that a working meeting was organized in the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) with the relevant minister, Filip Adzić, on the occasion of, as they said, various misinformation about the long-awaited salary increase of police officers and calculations for January this year.
It was announced that Adžić briefly informed the attendees of the MUP's results so far regarding the increase in employees' wages, procurement of new uniforms, official vehicles and other results achieved for the benefit of employees.
"Those present agreed that there is visible progress in the field of cooperation in the area of solving housing issues, where the Ministry of Interior made a great contribution to providing support for housing construction projects in which a significant number of employees will solve their housing issues," said the union.
They said that the proposed guidelines are how to solve that problem.
As they stated, the attendees agreed that the joint work of the Ministry of Interior and the Trade Union contributed to the increase of the coefficients of police officers by 20 percent, which will be reflected in the increase of other added wages, such as overtime, night and holiday hours.
The Trade Union recalled that they managed to negotiate with the Ministry of Finance an additional salary increase of 20 percent, through the Decision on the salary supplement in certain workplaces, which refers to police officers.
"Since that decision was adopted by the Government of Montenegro on December 30 last year, that is, after the adoption of the budget for this year, it is necessary to carry out an assessment of the impact on the already adopted increase in coefficients," said the union.
They said that for all that, it is necessary to look at the impact of the January salary on the planned funds for the salaries of police employees, in order to determine additional funds for that purpose.
"The January salary will be calculated with the new increased coefficients of 20 percent, which will also include the increase according to the Decision in the amount of ten percent," says the announcement.
As it is added, it was concluded at the meeting that a meeting with the Minister of Finance Aleksandar Damjanović should be organized as soon as possible, in order to provide the missing funds for the budget year for payment based on the Decision on salary supplements in certain workplaces.
The Union stated that the conclusion was reached that the fiscal impact of the Draft Collective Agreement should be done as soon as possible, in order to submit it to the Ministry of Finance for an opinion, so that the document could be signed during February.
"The meeting with Adzic was very constructive. He expressed his willingness to, in cooperation with the Trade Union of the Police Administration, solve all the inherited and new problems of the employees of the MUP", said the Trade Union.
They said that in the following period, depending on the dynamics of the implementation of the conclusions, they will continue with the trade union struggle in order to protect the rights of their members.
