The Urban Greenery Department of the Tivat Municipal Enterprise filled and decorated two larger green areas along the Jadranska magistral on the promenade on the stretch towards Opatovo with new seedlings.
According to the manager of City Greenery, Tanja Krstović, graduate engineer in horticulture, new yucca and agave seedlings have been planted in the new area.
"There are palm trees planted in that part of Opatovo, which we planted 15 years ago, and fortunately, they haven't been damaged in the meantime by leafhoppers. Now we are filling the space between them, right next to the promenade. These are two long areas on Opatovo, where we will plant 22 gloriosa yuccas and 20 agaves," Krstović pointed out.
In this way, negligent drivers will be prevented from using part of this green area between the palm trees for parking vehicles, which has been the case until now.
Krstović added that new yucca and agave seedlings will soon be planted on green areas along the promenade near the Church of St. Rok in Donja Lastva.
