The winding paths of the iconic hill of Gorica, a natural monument in the heart of the capital, now traditionally, for the sixth time, hosted the Voli Podgorica ten, a race that managed to gather a record number of running enthusiasts. The significance of the event, which celebrates healthy lifestyles and being in nature, was also recognized by the company Voli, in addition to over 200 competitors and a large number of visitors who cheered on the participants. In support of the Sports and Recreational Society of Economics and Management Students of the University of Montenegro - Ekomen, it shows that it values the effort and commitment of younger generations in creating quality sports events.
"In the past, our company was happy to support and nurture the values that sport promotes, but this year we are especially glad to be part of this event and provide support to young people, students, and athletes who successfully implement healthy initiatives. We believe that in the future, in the area of our socially responsible business, we will pay great attention to these and similar initiatives", said the representative of the company Voli, Aleksandra Jovanović. The president of Ekomen, Kristina Vlaović, expressed her special gratitude to Voli, as well as her satisfaction that the number of registered competitors is increasing from year to year: "From the beginning, until today, we have noticed a trend of growing registered competitors, so we will try to raise the organization to a higher level." level and thereby provide the opportunity for a greater number of competitors to participate in our activities", said Vlaović.
The new race record was set by the Russian competitor, Ivan Bubnov, who ran ten kilometers in 33.58 seconds. "I am participating for the first time. I am satisfied, I hope to be faster next year. It is important that we have races like this in the winter season, because they represent good preparation. The organization is good, thanks to the sponsors", said Bubnov after crossing the finish line.
Slađana Pejović, the six-time winner of "Voli Podgorica dezetke" and our best athlete, did not hide her enthusiasm for the victory, stating that she had no competition. "I would like to thank the organizers for inviting me to come. I am very satisfied, that's why I come every year. I ran a time that is close to a personal record. This year I am preparing for the Games of Small Countries, where I will run five and ten kilometers," announced Pejović.
