The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare has published a public call for funding the SOS telephone service for adults and elderly victims of abuse.
The deadline for submitting applications is ten days from the publication of the invitation, that is, February 13.
As stated in the invitation, the total amount that can be distributed by invitation for the period from February 3 to December 31, 2023 is 40 thousand euros.
Call participants can be SOS telephone service providers for adults and elderly persons who are victims of abuse, neglect, domestic violence and exploitation, or who are at risk of becoming victims on the territory of Montenegro, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Also, the participants of the call can be SOS telephone service providers who meet the conditions for providing this type of service, among other things, that they have a secured location, space, equipment, as well as that they meet the requirements in terms of personnel...
It is also necessary that the participants of the call have a license to perform activities for the provision of the SOS telephone service for adults and elderly persons who are victims of abuse...
The SOS service should provide call reception 24 hours a day, provide information regarding the problems that the user calls in, to provide an assessment of the user's needs and a risk assessment. The provider of the SOS service also provides empowerment and guidance to users in solving problems, mediates with other institutions...
Funds in the amount of no more than 40.000 euros will be transferred to the SOS telephone service provider for adults and elderly victims of abuse in such a way that 40 percent is transferred within 30 days of signing the contract, 30 percent of the remaining amount after the approval of the quarterly report, and 30 percent of the remaining amount after the approval of the six-month report.

During the last year, the SOS telephone service for adults and elderly persons who are victims of abuse, neglect, domestic violence and exploitation, or who are at risk of becoming victims, was provided only by the Nikšić organization SOS telephone for women and children victims of violence.
