The rescuers from Podgorica and Nikšić were part of the team that pulled out two more survivors from the ruins last night, after the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria seven days ago, said the head of the Podgorica Protection and Rescue Service, Goran Janković.
Janković, for the RTCG portal, said that his colleagues are up to the task, as well as that the team's mood and morale are up to par.
As he stated, last night, with specialized teams, they searched the terrain until late hours with the use of heavy machinery and specialized cameras.
“We managed to pull two people out of the rubble, so there is still hope. There are definitely still survivors, but the chances are getting smaller day by day," Janković said.
He said that rescuers from Niškić and Podgorica try to do their best every day to save anyone.
"So far, unfortunately, we have rescued 32 victims. On the first day, we and the team from Tajikistan drew a child," Janković reminded.
He said that the rescuers from Montenegro will stay in Turkey as long as they are needed.
"Colleagues are up to the task, the mood and morale of our people is more than good and will remain so as long as we stay here," concluded Janković.
