Tadić: There is less and less chance that there will be survivors in Kahramanmaraš, the situation in the city is tense, there were also shootings

Slavko Tadić, the commander of the Nikšić Protection and Rescue Service, who is with a group of Nikšić and Podgorica firefighters and rescuers in the Turkish city of Kahramanmaras, which was the hardest hit in the devastating earthquake, told "Vijesta" that there are fewer and fewer chances of survivors.

"Our first task this morning was at a location where, based on sound probes and cameras, it was believed that there were survivors. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the opposite. We worked with our colleagues from Podgorica at three locations from which ten victims were pulled out from under the ruins. And today there was an earthquake with a strength of about four degrees. The situation in the city is extremely tense. The citizens are nervous and aggressive. The police and the army patrol with long barrels and prevent conflicts and thefts in the city. There were also shootings," Tadic said.

As he pointed out, all firefighters and rescuers from Nikšić and Podgorica are safe and sound.

"We have food and water and the desire to help in this huge tragedy," said Tadić.
