Teams of firefighters and rescuers from Podgorica and Nikšić arrived in Montenegro after several days of rescue operations in Turkey.
It was published on the Facebook page of the Airport of Montenegro.
The rescue operations for the victims of the devastating earthquake in Turkey have been stopped, the commanders of the Podgorica and Nikšić Protection and Rescue Services, Goran Janković and Slavko Tadić, announced yesterday.
They said then that the Montenegrin teams were preparing to return to Montenegro. "The presence of the police and the army with long guns has been increased on the streets," they said in a joint statement.
Janković and Tadić said that a great dissatisfaction of the citizens is expected, and because of this, all the rescue teams are being evacuated and returning to their countries. "Our teams are fine and healthy and are coming back as well," said Tadić and Janković.
More than 41 thousand people died as a result of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria on February 6, and over 100 thousand were injured.
The earthquake affected 13 million people, including about seven million children.
