We got another beautiful space for sports, recreation and enjoyment of all generations on an area of almost 10.000 square meters and an investment worth 270.000 euros, said the mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković.
He said this during the opening of the park near the Sports Center "Morača", as they said from the Capital City, the twentieth in the mandate of this city administration.
He added that it is an area that is extremely important for the part of the city across the Morača, but which has not had a satisfactory appearance for years.
"Keeping in mind the potential of this space and its importance, we threw ourselves into work and thanks to a great project that was worked on by our colleagues from the Office of the Chief City Architect, led by the young Stefan Đukić, and with the support of several businesses in the Capital City, in the first place, Greenery, but also Municipal Services, Cleanliness, Housing Agency, got one, I would say, beautiful space", said Vuković.
The capital city states in a statement that 70 tree seedlings, 65 shrub seedlings and 291 hedge seedlings were planted.
"A pavilion, paths and paddy fields were built, and furniture of a modern design, as well as a hydro system, were installed. Municipal services teams worked on the installation of new lighting, and the entire area is now illuminated. The Housing Agency reconstructed a small training ground, with the support of the Football Association of Montenegro, which donated artificial grass. An outdoor gym was set up, as well as a table tennis table," the announcement reads.
