The President of the Municipality of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, hosted a reception for 11 members of the Protection and Rescue Service who were in Turkey in the operation of evacuating the dead and injured in the center of Kahramanmaraš, a city that was one of the most destroyed in the recent earthquake.

Kovačević presented the Nikšić firefighters and rescuers with awards and symbolic monetary awards for their demonstrated professionalism and humanity.

"The departure to Turkey was a joint action of the Municipality and the Protection and Rescue Service, in which we had the easier part of the job - to approve their departure. It was their initiative, because they wanted to go and help people who were in trouble, which they did, and we had the need to tell everyone that we value it as a municipality and that we admire their courage and humanity. wanted to go and help is something that should be appreciated even more.
