Savićević: I was fired illegally; Lakić: She persistently refused to perform the duties of secretary several times

Dejana Savićević, a lawyer and until recently the secretary of the Danilovgrad Cultural Center, was fired completely illegally on Friday, and today, she told "Vijesta", her personal belongings were waiting for her in the lobby of that public institution.

Because of this, Savićević filed a criminal complaint against the artistic director of the JU Center for Culture, Milivoje Lakić.

Responding to her accusations, he told Vijesti that Savićević was handed a decision to terminate his employment because of a series of serious violations of his work obligations.

Savićević told "Vijesta" that she was in the office yesterday, expecting the arrival of the competent person in order to hand over the documents entrusted to her as part of her work duties, and that today her colleagues told her that she was forbidden to enter the JU Center for Culture building. except in the presence of Lakić.

She also said that Lakić is not an authorized person who could terminate the employment of any of the employees, but also that she has been a victim of his mobbing for months, adding that on Wednesday she was being politically persecuted.

She told the inspectors of the Danilovgrad Security Department that she had been employed at the Center for more than 22 years, and that she found out today that she could not enter her office.

"The acting artistic director of the Danilovgrad Culture Center took some of my belongings to the hall of the Center and told me through Ratko Ivanović, the janitor, that I was prohibited from entering... Ever since the current acting artistic director Milivoje Lakić came to this position, he has been mobbing according to me, because he is trying to leave me without a job in various ways, using, according to me, illegal means, and in that way violating all other regulations, prescribed in the statute of the JU Center for Culture," she wrote in her statement to the police.

Savićević told "Vijesti" that she was fired after she refused to write a vacation decision to a colleague who was on sick leave, which, she explained, would be illegal.

She also said that Lakić sent her a warning, to which she responded within the legal deadline, and that after that he did nothing, but issued another act by which he fined her, and then served her with a notice of dismissal:

"I do not agree with these decisions and I am in the process of appealing against his decisions," said Savićević...

She reported Lakić for endangering the right to work.

"Dejana Savićević was handed a decision on termination of employment due to a series of serious violations of her work obligations. The entire procedure that preceded the decision on termination of employment was carried out in accordance with the Labor Law. Dejana Savićević committed more serious violations of her work obligations by several times persistently refused to perform the duties of the secretary of the Danilovgrad JU Center for Culture and thus in the described manner put the operation of the Center at risk," Lakić told Vijest.

He adds that the dismissal is a sudden cessation of work, in relation to the previous ignoring of the acting artistic director and his powers in accordance with the Labor Law and other acts.

"There is absolutely not the slightest possibility that this is any kind of political persecution, but it is only a matter of improving the institution of culture through the professionalization of all work units. Personal belongings that do not belong to the JU Center for Culture are legal. With the formation of the handover commission, a record of the listed materials and she was invited to take them over," said Lakić.

He claims that he made every decision in accordance with the law and his powers as acting artistic director of the Danilovgrad Center for Culture:

"And in accordance with the decision on the appointment and authorization, I have all the rights concerning the management of the Center for Culture. Therefore, all the previous activities of the Center for Culture are legal and indicate the quality and professionalism of the work".
