The municipal company Čistoća in cooperation with the Municipality of Pljevlja installed LED lighting in several streets in the city, and will continue with this work in the coming period.
New led lighting has been installed in the streets: Velimir Jakić on the stretch from the Post Office to the intersection towards Prijepolje, Blaža Jovanovića Street, 37th Division and the Yugoslav Army.
During the last year, Čistoća, in cooperation with the Directorate for Construction and Investments, installed over 200 LED lamps of different power, with a total value of over 30.000. The lighting was replaced in the streets of Miloš Tošić, Volodžina, Obilićeva, Tanasi Pejatović, Mirko Pejatović, 20.Novembra and 37.Divizije. New lighting was installed in Kovačka Street, Milka Bajić Poderegin, Milo Peruničića Street, Bjelopoljska, as well as on the trim track in Vodice Park.
For the first time last year, lighting was installed in Milke Bajić Poderegin Street, which is only a few hundred meters from the city. The residents of that street have been waiting for lighting for more than thirty-five years.
Also, lighting was done in the haustors, in order to increase the safety of the citizens, and decorative LED lighting was installed on the wall around the 13 July Square in the city center.
By installing LED lighting, they point out in Čistoca, the consumption of electricity was significantly reduced, and the streets were better lit. The municipality spends about one hundred thousand euros annually for public lighting.
Director of Cleanliness Saša Ječmenica said that this year Cleanliness will also do the lighting from Apollon to the Guke settlement, and the plan is to install lighting in the newly built park in the "Vladimir Knežević Volođa" barracks.
It is planned to illuminate the entrance to the city from the direction of Čajnič from Dajević Han to the settlement of Guka.
Ječmenica said that the past year was one of the most successful in the business of that legacy company.
