Prime Minister Dritan Abazović announced that the state will buy ferries for the Kamenari-Lepetane line and make the line much more at the service of citizens than it was until now.
"We don't have our own ferries, but we are raising the state from the ashes. We have a plan to increase state capital, so that only the state can manage the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry line," stressed Abazović.
In the "Argumenti" show, he pointed out that another line should be introduced, not only Kamenari-Lepetane, reports RTCG.
"Profits will be returned through investments to the citizens of Boka. The citizens had nothing from millions of euros, and now Mr. Ban says that in seven days we have damaged the budget," Abazović pointed out.
Co-owner and executive director of "Marine Transport" Dejan Ban claims that he is "counting people's pockets".
"You are dealing with retellings, that is called spreading misinformation. People dispose of public funds without elaboration, without economic profitability... Now they are procuring ferries through public procurement in an abbreviated procedure. Cytostatics were not procured according to the system of 'short' public procurements," Ban added. .
Ban pointed to the prime minister's earlier statements and appealed that there be no similar ones.
"I'm not a politician, and I'm not going to talk about politics. I came to talk about whether the state's decision was legal and whether this was done in a legal way," said Ban.
Abazović emphasized that they took a monopoly for 15 years, and that the contract had expired without being extended by Duško Marković's government.
"You imposed a contract on Morsko Dobr, you worked against the law for seven or eight months. The only thing that makes me nervous is that instead of the state coffers, you poured a huge amount of money into your own pockets," said Abazović and added that "due to accumulated problems, they could not come earlier turn".
Abazović pointed out that "Maritime transport can no longer do that work, but that, if they want, they can transport citizens for free".
"The Vasilija ferry transports close to 1.300 vehicles every day, has a capacity of only 20 places and cannot drive trucks. It means that it makes a profit of 7.500 euros a day, that's 75.000 in ten days and 200.000 a month. Just imagine how much six ferries earn and they pay a concession of 200.000 euros. I look forward to your lawsuits," said Abazović.
Ban said that Abazović "is not an institution" and that he came to discuss the Government's moves in 2023.
"You should say what is the problem that caused you to terminate the contract with us. Did the one who won the tender hire someone 'off the cuff'? That safe ferry is registered as a supply vessel," said Ban.
Ban pointed out that the current free ride is just a marketing ploy.
"On a five-euro ticket, you have the obligations of the operator, but also the rights of the service user. You are pushing people without tickets like in India, if something happens, no one knows how many were inside. And after the letter from the Association of Seafarers, who requested an emergency interrogation, there is not a single store that you have not visited to buy light bulbs, seat belts. It is just manipulation," Ban claimed.
Abazović emphasized that there will be income when the state starts charging for services and that he is informed that Ban is preparing "potential diversions with one OKG group".
Abazović: Institutions are not strong enough regarding gravel
Abazović emphasized that the water supply is still questionable and that the institutions of the system are not strong enough in terms of gravel exploitation.
"Several companies have found loopholes in the institutions. They are taking advantage of the weaknesses of the system," stressed Abazović.
He adds that rehabilitation must be done, and that companies must compensate citizens for the damage.
The representative of Montenegro petrol, attorney Nikola Martinović, said that politicians are starting to deal with the economy.
"Your job is to deal with the law and to create equal conditions for everyone's business. The problem in your government is that you don't know what is the cause of the drop in yield in the Bolja sestra water source," Martinović announced.
He added that the previously demolished facility on Cijevna is no different from any demolished house in Montenegro.
"You don't have a decision about the demolition. The company was given a temporary measure and prohibited from working, it was determined that gravel is not exploited at that place," said Martinović.
Abazović pointed out that his only task is to protect national interests.
"We have achieved one billion and something in direct foreign investments. We are talking about the protection of natural resources, of course we will fight against companies that work illegally. Earlier there was talk of stopping the illegal exploitation of gravel... I am asking you where is the construction permit for Montenegro Petrol and construction registration? We demolished buildings that do not exist in the cadastre," said Abazović.
