294 entries were submitted to the competition "Mama is the verb from the verb to work", which was announced by the "Zahumlje" JU from Nikšić, and the winners of the competition, which were divided into two categories (from the first to the fifth grade, and the second from the sixth to the ninth grade) awards will be presented on March 8.
The work of Milica Krković, a student of the sixth grade of Elementary School "Vojin Čepić", Dragovića Polje, Kolašin (mentor Stanica Kadić), was declared the best prose work, while the work of her peer from the school "Risto Ratković" in Bjelopolska, Blanka Čukić (mentor Andrijana Marinković), the best poetic performance of the competition.
In the category of students from the first to the fifth grade, Nikolina Stevović, a student of the fourth grade, elementary school "Dašo Pavičić" from Herceg Novi (mentor Dragana Kovačević), won the first place, and her older friend Miloš Bogdanović, a student of the eighth grade of the school "Ilija Kišić" from Herceg Novi (mentor Jelena Lučić) was the best in the category of students from sixth to ninth grade.
Dajana Milić, a seventh-grade student at the elementary school "Boško Strugar" from Ulcinj, (mentor Marko Radosavović) and Hana Kurpejović, who attends the third grade at the school "Miroslav Đurović" from Rožaj (mentor Jadranka Ratković), won second place. The third place was won by Ljubica Kostić, a seventh-grade student from Milija Nikčević Elementary School (mentor Vera Đurđić) and Elena Todorović, a third-grade student from Olga Golović School (mentor Slavica Vuković Ognjenović1), both from Nikšić.
Sofija Kovačević, a seventh-grade student at Beran school "Vuk Karadžić" (mentor Jelena Nišavić) won a special award for the most imaginative short story, and Helena Janičić, who attends ninth grade at Elementary School "Luka Simonović" Nikšić (mentor Milosava Đordan), won a special award for paper written to grandmother. Lana Miković, second grade student of the Second Elementary School from Budva (mentor Svetlana Popović), was awarded as the youngest participant in the Competition, while Vahid Gec, eighth grade of Elementary School "Salko Aljković", Pljevlja (mentor Verica Vraneš), and Petar Perišić , VIII grade, elementary school "Njegoš" Cetinje (mentor Vesna Đukanović), received special praise for a rhymed poem, i.e. for a poem in free verse.
The awards were decided by a three-member jury consisting of professors Anđela Peković and Jovan Krušić and writer Milica Bakrač, who was the president of the jury. In addition to the prizes, the students will also be presented with special certificates and awards.
