Employees of the Herceg Novi Health Center held a protest due to, as they claim, retaliation by the administration against persons who point out irregularities.
They say that they will not stop until "they receive answers from the authorities and the current management is replaced."
Tamara Đučić, an employee at that institution, told journalists that they had previously received a decision, upon the arrival of the new director, that they should not make statements to the media, "not even on Facebook.".
"That was the first decision when the director came. Now, probably, since I'm talking, I'm the one who will be fired," she said.
Last December, the Minister of Health, Dragoslav Šćekić, dismissed director Goran Komar and appointed Aleksa Đekić as acting director.
Đekić did not answer the calls of "Vijesti".
Đučić stated that she expects the minister to support the employees, saying that more people would come to the protest, but that they work in fear.
"I think the minister should support the workers, we're not here for the director, but for the patients. We do the same job, whoever the director is, I don't know why we mistreat each other - why nurses are rotated, is it on a whim, and here it is on a whim, why do we register when we come in and not when we leave... We work overtime, we don't take those hours," she pointed out.
