During the weekend, 74 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Montenegro, and no deaths related to covid infection were recorded during that period.
The Institute for Public Health (IJZ) announced that their and other public and private laboratories dealing with the diagnosis of coronavirus infection completed the analysis on Saturday and Sunday and submitted results for 842 samples.
The newly discovered cases are from Podgorica 32, Nikšić 11, Danilovgrad and Pljevlja five each, Andrijevica, Beran, Budva and Ulcinj three each, Kotor and Žabljak two each, Bar, Bijelo Polje, Cetinje, Plav and Šavnik one each.
The share of positive cases in the total number of those tested for Saturday and Sunday was 8,79 percent.
"During the previous two days, not a single death related to SARS-CoV-2 infection was reported to the IJZ," the statement said.
The total number of deaths related to covid-19 infection in Montenegro since the beginning of the pandemic is 2.808.
It is stated that by 15 p.m. the recovery of 79 patients had been reported.
Taking into account all newly discovered cases, as well as the number of recoveries, the total number of currently active cases of covid-19 in Montenegro is 423.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of registered cases of infection with the new coronavirus in Montenegro is 289.009.
There are 219 active cases of coronavirus infection in Podgorica, 60 in Nikšić, 18 in Budva and Kotor, 14 in Cetinje, 12 in Danilovgrad and Pljevlja, 11 in Berane, ten in Herceg Novi, eight each in Bar, Tivat and Ulcinj.
In Andrijevica, Bijelo Polje and Rožaje there are five active cases of coronavirus infection each, and two each in Kolašin, Mojkovac, Plav, Šavnik and Žabljak.
There are no active cases of coronavirus in Gusinje, Petnjica, Plužine and Tuzi.
