Prince Nikola Petrović Njegoš, president of the Petrović Njegoš Foundation, expressed interest in promoting Montenegrin science and innovation through the Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Technological Development announced.
Today, he met with the minister of that department, Biljana Šćepanović, with the aim of considering different types of cooperation between the Foundation and the Ministry, as well as mutual support.
The Ministry announced that the status of science and innovation in Montenegro was discussed at the meeting.
They add that the importance of these areas for the economic and social development of Montenegro, as well as the importance of innovations related to ecology and circular economy, is emphasized, and that it is important to work together to affirm the concept of Montenegro as an ecological state.
"Prince Nikola presented the activities of the Petrović Njegoš Foundation, as well as the innovative projects on which the Foundation is working. He also expressed his interest in promoting Montenegrin science and innovation through the Foundation, and the view that it is of great importance to develop partnerships and joint scientific research and innovative projects that will have for the purpose of preserving the natural resources of Montenegro," the announcement reads.
On that occasion, Šćepanović expressed her satisfaction with today's visit of Prince Nikola, and the possibility of cooperation between that department and the Foundation. She expressed her belief that the Foundation will contribute to the popularization of the concept of Montenegro as an ecological country with innovative ideas and projects.
