The Agency for Local Democracy organized the third training for the development of the capacity of local administrations for the intelligent use of energy and the application of renewable energy sources.
The training, which is implemented as part of the project "Intelligent energy management and promotion of renewable energy sources - INER", included the presentation of the software solution of the central information system of energy efficiency and support for energy management in the public sector.
"The goal of the project is to improve energy efficiency in selected administrative buildings, educational and social institutions, for which energy and water costs are covered from the budget of Montenegro, as well as fulfilling the obligations prescribed by the Law on the Efficient Use of Energy, which resulted from EU directives." , said Kerim Međedović from the Agency for Local Democracy.
He explained that the central energy efficiency information system is an instrument developed by the Government of Montenegro through the project "Improving energy efficiency in public buildings".
The project "INER" is implemented within the cross-border cooperation program Croatia,,,/ Bosnia and Herzegovina / Montenegro, and the partners are the city of Ilok, the municipality of Laktaši, the capital of Cetinje, LIR Evolucija, the EU Center and the Agency for Local Democracy. The budget of the project, which is started in July 2020 and lasts until the end of this March, is over 1,1 million euros.
"The main goal of the project is to increase energy efficiency, the use of renewable energy sources and intelligent energy management through promotion, raising awareness, increasing knowledge and competences, as well as the exchange of practices between project partners and territories," said Međedović.
