The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare announced that on the occasion of the upcoming Easter, non-working days for believers of the Roman Catholic faith will be Friday April 7, Sunday April 9 and Monday April 10.
"Based on the Law on the Celebration of Religious Holidays (Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro, No. 56/93), believers of the Roman Catholic faith have the right to paid leave for the purpose of celebrating the religious holidays of Good Friday and Easter," the announcement of this government department states.
They add that state bodies, local self-government bodies, public institutions, public companies and other entities that perform activities of public interest are obliged to ensure the performance of work during holidays, the interruption of which could have harmful consequences for citizens or the state.
