The Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro Aleksandar Klarić met with the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Despina Hadživasilia – Zovilis.
Klarić and Hadživasilija-Zovilis emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences and knowledge at the professional level and expressed their readiness to concretize models of future cooperation in areas of common interest in direct contact.
"Pointing to the importance of the long-standing partnership with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Klarić expressed his satisfaction with the high degree of cooperation between the two institutions, both at the political level and at the level of parliamentary administrations," the statement of the Parliament of Montenegro states.
It is added that Klarić informed Hadživasilija-Zovilis about the activities that were carried out in the plan of affirming the principle of openness of the Parliament, especially activities aimed at strengthening communication with citizens.
It is emphasized that Klarić emphasized the importance of expert support in strengthening institutional and administrative capacities and initiated the intensification of communication at the level of professional services through the implementation of joint projects.
"On that occasion, he sent an official invitation to the General Secretary of the PSSE to visit Montenegro," the announcement states.
Hadživasilija-Zovilis, referring to the constructive cooperation with the Parliament of Montenegro, praised the achieved results, recognizing the Parliament as a strategic partner.
"The experiences of the Parliament of Montenegro can serve as an example to other national parliaments and she expressed her belief that cooperation will be further improved within the framework of joint international activities," concluded Hadživasiliju-Zovilis.
