The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare has announced that employees of the Islamic faith, on the occasion of the upcoming religious holiday of Eid al-Fitr, have the right to paid leave on Friday, April 21, Saturday, April 22, and Sunday, April 23.
In the announcement of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, it is stated that the leave is allowed "on the basis of the Law on the Celebration of Religious Holidays ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia", No. 56/93)".
"State bodies, local self-government bodies, public institutions, public companies and other entities that perform activities of public interest are obliged to ensure the performance of work on holidays, the interruption of which could have harmful consequences for citizens or the state," the announcement concludes.
