The president of the New Serbian Democracy, Andrija Mandić, said that it is a sacred Christian obligation to persevere in the fight for love, harmony and reconciliation between people.
He congratulated Serbian Patriarch Porfiri, Metropolitan Joaniki of Montenegro and Littoral, Bishop Metodij of Budamlje and Nikšić, Bishop Dimitrije of Zahum and Herzegovina, Bishop Atanasi of Milesevo and the faithful of the Serbian Orthodox Church with the wish that they spend the Easter days in health, peace and happiness.
Mandic said that this holiday of holidays reminds us that eternal life always defeats all transience and evil, and good triumphs over evil.
"We live in a time when the suffering of righteous people and ministers of the Orthodox faith is a constant phenomenon. The same base motivations and delusions, for which the Lord was crucified on Golgotha, are still trying to rule today on all meridians," he wrote in his congratulatory message.
He adds that there is no resurrection without death, and there is no feat without sacrifice.
"That is why it is a sacred Christian obligation to persevere in the fight for love, unity and reconciliation among people. This is the only way we can do great things for the future of the whole world. Christ is risen," Mandic says in the congratulatory message.
