The Board of Directors and the Executive Management of "Luke Bar" AD announced that the procedure for the removal of the Chairman of the Audit Board of that company, Miloš Ostojić, will be initiated immediately.
They announced themselves on the occasion of Ostojić's announcement on his private Facebook account, which was reported by some media. "Luke Bar" said that they condemn his statement and that they "distance themselves from it with indignation".
In two posts on the social network, a series of insults were made against Bosniaks, and Islam is called a false religion. "Christ-loving brothers, get ready for persecution! The promise that our ancestors left us calls us. There is still light in the day to fight against darkness and ignorance," reads the end of one of the messages.
From "Luke Bar", they point out that Ostojić is not a manager in that company, nor a permanent employee. "Until now, he has performed his duties in the Audit Board in a professional manner, and he was appointed as the chairman of the Audit Board by the members of that body," the statement added.
They said that the company was built and functions on the foundations of unity, equality, multinationality and multiculturalism.
"As such, it is recognized not only in domestic, but also in international frameworks. In order to consistently preserve the image that has been carefully built for more than a century, as well as the ethical and moral standards of the company, the Board of Directors and Management strongly condemn the statement of Mr. Ostojić , which cannot and must not be brought into context with company policy and principles of functioning and management.
"In the port, as well as in the city of Bar, Eid al-Fitr is celebrated today, just as Catholic Easter and Orthodox Easter were celebrated. We celebrate, respect and appreciate all holidays together, therefore a subjective, private attitude of a professionally engaged person, we are sure will not disrupt or change the functioning of our company. But we also appeal to all participants in public and political life - that this case is not politicized, that it is not instrumentalized for daily political purposes and that it in no way serves to raise tensions in these mild days." , the announcement concludes.
PES Bar: We condemn Ostojić's chauvinistic outburst in the strongest terms, authorities to react urgently
The Municipal Board of the Europe Now Movement (PES) Bar announced that it "strongly condemns the chauvinistic outburst of the chairman of the Audit Board of Luka Bar, Miloš Ostojić, who called for the persecution of Bosniaks with his post on the social network Facebook, and also hurt the religious feelings of Muslim citizens in the most primitive way. ".
"Hereby, we call on the competent authorities to react urgently and adequately sanction this and prevent any procedure that threatens multi-ethnic and multi-confessional harmony as a civilizational value of Montenegrin society. We also welcome the announcement of the management of Luka Bar regarding the initiation of the procedure for the removal of the perpetrator of this inadmissible act, which is in these mild for days tried to threaten the spirit of tolerance and togetherness," the PES Bar press release reads.
LP Bar: The company's disciplinary procedure is not enough, a message from the state about the unacceptability of this behavior is needed
The Municipal Committee of the Liberal Party of Bar announced that they were not surprised by the "written madness" of Ostojić, an official of Luka Bar, which is managed by the Democrats and the Democratic Front, and that the competent authorities must take immediate measures and initiate investigations for hate speech, spreading intolerance and calling for the lynching of minorities.
"The announced disciplinary procedure of the company is not enough, but it is important to send a message to the state and society about the unacceptability of this kind of behavior," states the announcement of the Municipal Committee of the Liberal Party from Bar.
They point out that it is devastating that we are witnessing more and more frequent occurrences of open hatred and extremist calls for persecution, and that, as they say, "by prominent individuals of state and public enterprises, public administration and political parties in power."
"Unfortunately, we are also witnessing the loud silence of the ruling majority, which apparently looks at such phenomena with sympathy and continues to promote such individuals from positions of power," the Liberal Party claims.
They also add that they are afraid that there will be more and more occurrences of this kind, with, as they point out, "such an irresponsible policy of the ruling structures that by the back door introduces revisionism, the relativization of history and sympathizing with fascist and collaborationist movements and criminals at all levels, giving wings to enraged individuals to kill others and otherwise they call false people, false faith, and a lower species".
"We are all well aware of how such projects ended in the past, and we will not allow that, neither in Bar nor in Montenegro," concluded the Liberal Party from Bar.
Ballot: Ostojić's statement is an outpouring of hatred and primitivism, the prosecution must respond
Vice-President and member of the Presidency of the Social Democratic Party, Adis Balota, announced that Miloš Ostojić's announcement represents an outpouring of hatred and primitivism that speaks volumes about the person himself.
"Hate that destroys a person," Balota said on Facebook.
"We call on the Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro to take measures within its jurisdiction in accordance with the Law and to inform the public about all activities undertaken," he concluded.
Popović: Ostojić's call to persecute Bosniaks is inadmissible, authorities should react
The secretary of the Youth Council of the Democratic Party of Socialists, Marija Popović, said that Ostojić's scandalous announcement is proof of the sinister climate in society, which she says was created by representatives of the ruling majority in Montenegro who are shamelessly trying to destroy the civil character of the country.
"Ostojić's call for the persecution of Bosniaks, who made an immeasurable contribution to the construction of a modern, independent, European Montenegro, is a mirror of hidden dangerous intentions to destroy multinational and multi-religious harmony, which also represents the greatest asset of our country," the statement of the Democratic Party states. a socialist.
As Popović says, we do not expect "the ruling structures to condemn this kind of statement by Ostojić, which is precisely based on the same backward and sick ideologies".
"But we certainly expect and invite the competent state authorities to review and adequately sanction this heinous act of undermining hatred and intolerance within their jurisdiction," she pointed out.
"We tell our neighbors and friends from the Bosniak people that we stand by them and their families, and we guarantee that Ostojić, other Ostojići and their "Christ-loving brothers" will never, nor can they, threaten those who have been making Montenegro warm for years. the home of all confessions and diversity," concluded Popović.
BS: The police and the prosecutor's office to react
The Bar Committee of the Bosniak Party called on the police and the prosecutor's office to "react urgently against the person who calls for the persecution of Bosniaks."
"We strongly condemn the scandalous outpourings of hatred expressed through social networks by a person who presents himself as Miloš Ostojić, and we call on the police and the prosecutor's office to react urgently and take measures provided for by law against the person who publishes such content.
"We remind the police and the prosecutor's office that Article 370 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro provides for the criminal offense of Inciting national, racial and religious hatred, the element of which is incitement to violence or hatred against a group or member of a group determined on the basis of race, skin color, religion, origin, national or national affiliation.
"In the posts on Miloš Ostojić's Facebook profile, as well as in the video attributed to him, there are all the elements of this criminal act, and any absence of an urgent and sharp reaction by the state cannot be interpreted in any other way than as support for such views," announced the Bar Committee of the Bosniak Party.
They said that in multi-ethnic Montenegro, where a quarter of the population is made up of minorities, and in anti-fascist and civil Montenegro, which aspires to join the European Union, there is no place for such attitudes.
"Finally, a message to Miloš Ostojić and all his like-minded people in Montenegro: Bosniaks are a centuries-old people, firmly established in these areas, with their history, tradition, language and culture, fully aware of their national identity, of which they are very proud. We understand the nervousness of strengthening the national consciousness of Bosniaks and the political role that Bosniaks as a people have in the process of Europeanization and democratization of society in Montenegro, as a process that sends such a half-world to the margins of social life, and leaves their ideologies in the dark past to which they belong and from which they only occasionally emerge to show us what is the alternative to European, multi-ethnic, civil, anti-fascist and democratic Montenegro.
"We also tell them not to think that they can scare us with these and similar statements, because we are completely determined to stay here and survive together with all the other citizens of Montenegro," the announcement concludes.
Canović: Hatred and discrimination are unacceptable
Member of the Presidency of the Social Democrats and President of Plav Municipality Nihad Canović also spoke.
"The president of the audit commission in Port Bar (a state-owned company) labels my people as 'so-called Bosniaks' and characterizes them with many more shameful qualifications. We continue to witness 'some new Montenegro that we have to get used to' in which Bosniaks are " converts', 'people of fallen souls', and not a people with a centuries-old existence in these areas", he announced.
He said that no one should be allowed to discriminate against any person or group on the basis of their ethnicity and that such actions require prompt action by the competent authorities.
"All people, regardless of their ethnicity, deserve respect and equal rights. Hate and discrimination are unacceptable and should be condemned at every step, it is especially sad that such comments are made by a person of the younger generation," he concluded.
SPP: Ostojić's view of the world is for a committee of professional medical staff to determine the degree of mental illness and determine therapy
The Justice and Reconciliation Party (SPP) announced that "it is really unnecessary to write a single word about the views of the now former chairman of the Audit Board of "Luke Bar" Miloš Ostojić, because the view of the world in question is not for polemic but for a commission of professional medical staff to determine degree of mental illness and determination of therapy in order to try to socialize the person in question, in the end, to isolate him from the rest of society".
"What is worrisome is the inadequate reaction of the police and the basic state prosecutor's office, Bar composed of Nusreta Arapović, Radmila Gačević, Danijela Božović, Bisera Hajdarpašić, Vitomir Magovčević. Is it necessary for mentally ill people like Ostojić to usurp the general public for days in order to react and stop the poisoning society by depraved, national-fascist outpourings of hatred that are unequivocally defined in our legislation as a criminal offense!? Unfortunately, a person like Ostojić has always been and will be, but the social defense mechanism is an exclusively effective rule of law in the police-prosecutor-judiciary triangle," he writes in announcement of the SPP.
