CGO: We expect not only the process of dismissal of Ostojić, but also efficient action by the police and the prosecution

The Center for Civic Education (CGO) announced today that due to the announcement on social networks of the President of the Audit Board of Luka Bar AD, Miloš Ostojić, which contains hate speech against members of the Islamic faith, they expect not only the removal of Ostojić from his post, but also the effective action of the police and the prosecutor's office. .

The president of the Audit Board of "Luke Bar" Miloš Ostojić insulted Bosniaks on Facebook, called Islam a false religion, and the company announced his dismissal.

"Recently published CGO research indicates the division of men and women citizens regarding the existence of discrimination based on religious affiliation - 48.4% of them believe that this type of discrimination exists, and 51.6% are of the opinion that it does not exist," the statement of the CGO published on Facebook points out.

The non-governmental organization (NGO) added that young people, respondents with secondary education, nationally determined Serbs and respondents from the northern part of Montenegro are leading in denying this discrimination, and respondents aged 55 to 64, those with higher education, members of the Islamic religions and those from the south of Montenegro.

"Also, the research points to pronounced religious and ethnic distances in society - 50,4% of the respondents would not marry a partner of another ethnic group, while nearly three fifths (58%) of the respondents stated that they would not marry a a partner of a different religion," said the CGO.
