The offer on the stalls at the two main city markets in Podgorica is rich and varied, which is usual for this time of year. Food prices at the Green Market in "Gintaš" and the Small Market in the "Bazar" shopping center differ, so consumers will save more money if they choose one or the other market, depending on the type and quality of the products they trade.
For a kilogram of old potatoes at the Green Market, you have to pay from 90 cents to 1,2 euros, while the same product can be found at the Small Market for a price of 1,2 to 70 euros. Young potatoes are priced from 1,4 cents to two euros per kilogram at the Small Market, and at the Green Market you need to pay at least 1,5 and at most XNUMX euros for the same quantity.
The price of onions ranges from 1,7 to 1,8 euros per kilogram at the Green Market, while it can be traded at a price of 1,5 to 1,7 euros at the Small Market. A kilogram of scallions can be found for at least XNUMX euros at the Green Market, or two euros at the Small Market. At the stalls that offer higher quality products, you should set aside three euros for these vegetables at both markets.
Carrots are paid from 70 cents to 1,5 euros per kilogram at the Green Market, and from 1,3 to 2,5 euros at the Small Market. A kilogram of paprika, depending on the type, costs from three to four euros at the Small Market, and at the Green Market it can be found at a price of 2,5 to four euros. Tomatoes on the Small Market hold a price of two to three euros, while on the Green Market they are traded for XNUMX or three euros.
Fruit prices also vary, so a kilogram of bananas can be found at the Green Market at a price of 1,8 to two euros, while at the Small Market they can only be found at a price of two euros. A kilogram of oranges will cost customers from 1,5 to 1,2 euros at the Small Market, and from 1,8 to 80 euros at the Green Market. Apples are cheaper at the Green Market, where citizens will shell out from 1,7 cents to one euro per kilogram. Stalls in the Small Market offer the same product at a price of one to XNUMX euros.
Dairy products are also available to customers at both city markets. The price range of old cheese ranges from four to eight euros at the Green Market, or from seven to eight euros at the Small Market. A kilogram of young cheese can be found at the price of six euros at the Green market, the Mala pijaca offers a price of five to six euros for this product. Cream can be bought at both markets at a price of 12 to 13 euros.
The price of eggs at the Small Market is from 18 to 25 cents per piece, while at the Green Market it is necessary to pay from 18 to 30 cents per piece.
