A member of the Assembly of the Capital City, Aleksandar Saša Zeković, sent a call to Podgorica's "Čistoća" for an immediate response, after receiving a call from citizens that a litter of puppies had been left in a tied bag in Moskovska Street, near a pharmacy.
Zeković said that he immediately contacted the city company "Čistoća".
"Who have announced that they will go out into the field. I expect that, with the help of volunteers and non-governmental organizations that cooperate with the city shelter, care for these puppies will be ensured and organized. I also want to personally and financially contribute to this, and as a councilor in the Assembly of the Capital City I will do everything possible and necessary to improve services and care for animals, conditions in shelters and city support for organizations that take care of neglected and abandoned animals," said Zeković, appealing to citizens not to get rid of unwanted pets in this way. .
"Because they give them almost no chance to survive," he said.
Zeković is an independent councilor and a member of the Civic Initiative "May 21".
