During the weekend, 27 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Montenegro, and no deaths related to covid infection were recorded during that period.
The Institute for Public Health (IJZ) announced that their and other public and private laboratories dealing with the diagnosis of coronavirus infection on Saturday and Sunday completed the analysis and submitted results for 580 samples.
The newly discovered cases are ten each from Podgorica and Nikšić, three from Kotor and one each from Bar, Bijelo Polje, Herceg Novi and Pljevlja.
The share of positive cases in the total number of those tested for Saturday and Sunday was 4,66 percent.
"During the previous two days, not a single death related to the coronavirus infection was reported to the IJZ," the statement said.
The total number of deaths related to the COVID-19 infection in Montenegro since the beginning of the pandemic is 2.826.
It is stated that by 15 p.m. the recovery of 60 patients had been reported.
Taking into account all newly discovered cases, as well as the number of recoveries, the total number of currently active cases of COVID-19 in Montenegro is 227.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of registered cases of coronavirus infection in Montenegro is 291.686.
There are currently 102 active cases of coronavirus infection in Podgorica, 48 in Nikšić, 17 in Budva, 15 each in Kotor and Pljevlja, eight in Tivat, and six in Herceg Novi.
Four cases of coronavirus are active in Bijelo Polje and Cetinje, two each in Berane and Danilovgrad, and one each in Andrijevica, Kolašin, Rožaje and Ulcinj.
There are no active cases of coronavirus in Bar, Gusinje, Mojkovac, Petnjica, Plav, Plužine, Šavnik, Tuzi and Žabljak.
