Residents of the village of Bijedići claim that the quarry concessionaire company "Elas" destroyed and excavated an archaeological site that is more than 6.000 years old.
They continued the protests that started yesterday today, by blocking the road to the concessionaire owner of "Elas", Šućr Omerović.
They are demanding the termination of the concession contract concluded between that company and the Minister of Capital Investments, Ervin Ibrahimović.
"We will not give up the protest until the contract is terminated and the road that was destroyed is returned to its original condition," said Krsto Tvrdišić.
Locals are outraged by the construction work that has begun at the Ober site, which is located next to a 6-year-old Neolithic site, but also near the main water supply for the Gubavac settlement.

Omerović said that he has all the necessary permits for the works and that he is doing everything according to the law.
The Vijesti reporter found the road to the site and the quarry in a disastrous state, and she witnessed the breaking of plastic from the car, due to huge holes and uneven depressions on the road.
The same road, which leads from Voljavac to Bijedić around May 1, was in much better condition.
