28 new cases of coronavirus

In Montenegro, in the last 24 hours, 28 new cases of coronavirus were registered, and during that period, no deaths related to covid infection were recorded.

The Institute for Public Health (IJZ) announced that their and other public and private laboratories, which deal with the diagnosis of coronavirus infection, completed the analysis on Tuesday and submitted results for 468 samples.

There are nine newly discovered cases from Podgorica, five from Nikšić, four from Pljevlja, two each from Budva, Tivat and Ulcinj, and one each from Herceg Novi, Kolašin, Kotor and Rožaj.

The share of positive cases in the total number of people tested on Tuesday was 5,98 percent.

"During Tuesday, not a single death related to SARS-CoV-2 infection was reported to the IJZ," the statement said.

The total number of deaths related to covid-19 infection in Montenegro since the beginning of the pandemic is 2.826.

It is stated that by 15 p.m. the recovery of 30 patients had been reported.

Taking into account all newly discovered cases, as well as the number of recoveries, the total number of currently active cases of covid-19 in Montenegro is 227.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of registered cases of infection with the new coronavirus in Montenegro is 291.738.

There are 108 active cases of coronavirus infection in Podgorica, 37 in Nikšić, 18 in Budva, 16 in Kotor, 13 in Pljevlja and nine in Tivat.

There are six active cases of coronavirus in Herceg Novi, four each in Bijelo Polje and Ulcinj, three in Berane, two each in Cetinje, Danilovgrad, Kolašin and Rožaj and one in Andrijevica.
